Borca is a family-run shop located in the heart of Madrid\u2014just steps away from Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor\u2014specializing in *mantillas*, Manila shawls, bridal veils, and embroidered linens. Since 1961, three generations of the same family have worked to ensure that every piece reaches your home with our signature quality and care.<\/p>

      We work with linen, cotton, natural silk, polyester, rayon, and acrylics, and our team will explain the advantages of each material based on the intended use of the piece.<\/p>

      We also help you choose between the different types of embroidery and lace:<\/p>

        Our story<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

        Borca was born from the vision of Augusto Gonz\u00e1lez L\u00e1zaro (Acebo, C\u00e1ceres, 1929 \u2013 Madrid, 2007). In his hometown in the Sierra de Gata, bobbin lace making was a craft passed down from generation to generation. His parents traveled through the villages of C\u00e1ceres and Toledo selling this lace, and as a child, Augusto frequently accompanied them.<\/p>

        In 1961, Augusto and his wife Consuelo moved to Madrid and opened a small shop on Gran V\u00eda, where they sold embroideries from all over Spain: *mantillas* from Granada, tablecloths from Lagartera, bobbin lace, Canarian handicrafts, and Valencian fans.<\/p>

        Over time, both the family and the business grew. Borca was founded and permanently established at its current location\u2014Calle Marqu\u00e9s Viudo de Pontejos, 2, in the heart of Madrid\u2014where it remains today.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

        Today, Borca is in the hands of the third generation. We continue to offer artisanal products and maintain the personal touch that has characterized us from the very beginning.<\/p>
